Graptopetalum Mendozae forms incredibly tight, symmetrical, and compact rosettes. The rosettes are stemless or have very short stems, often hugging the ground and clustering readily to form a dense, low-growing mat or cushion. The leaves are small, plump, and oblong to cylindrical with a rounded tip. They are densely packed, overlapping each other tightly to create a solid, geometric rosette that can resemble a tiny, succulent artichoke.
