Echeveria Velvet forms a loose, open rosette that is less formal and symmetrical than many other types. The leaves tend to splay outwards, giving the plant a relaxed, almost casual appearance. The leaves are spatulate (spoon-shaped), broad at the tip and narrower at the base. They are notably thick and fleshy, contributing to the plant's substantial, plump look. The base color is a deep olive green or blue-green. When exposed to strong, direct light, the leaf edges and tips can develop a subtle, reddish-brown tinge and red.
