Echeveria Rainbow forms a medium-sized, loose to moderately tight rosette. The structure is elegant and often described as "old-fashioned," similar to its parent plant, but made extraordinary by its coloration. The leaves are spoon-shaped with a delicate, pointed tip. They are fleshy but have a graceful, slightly wavy curvature. 'Rainbow Group' is a variegated sport. This means its leaves display multiple colors due to a lack of chlorophyll in some cells. Areas with normal chlorophyll is pale green, areas with no chlorophyll appear Cream & Pale Yellow. These are the "stress colors" that appear on the variegated, chlorophyll-free sections when the plant receives ample sunlight. Because these sections have no green pigment, they blush pink and lavender much more easily and intensely.
