Cotyledon Orbiculata is a sprawling, shrubby succulent. It grows on upright, branching stems that become woody with age. The leaf shape is highly variable, some varieties have almost perfectly round, flat, disk-like leaves. The foliage color is equally diverse and reacts strongly to sun exposure. The base color is typically a soft, silvery-green, grey-green, or white, largely due to the powdery farina that coats the leaves. When exposed to bright sun and dry conditions, the entire leaf margin can flush a vibrant, dark red or burgundy, creating a stunning "painted" effect around the edge of each leaf. The leaves are very smooth and can range from highly glossy to densely powdered with a matte, white finish, depending on the variety.
